The theme of the forum was “Sponge City and Coastal Defence Against Extreme Weather Events”. The Director of Drainage Services, Ir. Edwin Tong Ka Hung, attended as the officiating guest. Experts from Hong Kong, mainland, and overseas also shared their experience. Let’s combat climate change together! | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | “Global Food Crisis” Workshop | | As the partner of “Sustainable Development School Outreach Programme” of Environment Bureau, The Earth Academy (TEA) of FoE (HK) held 2 workshops on “Global Food Crisis” for students at TWGHs Mr. & Mrs. Kwong Sik Kwan College. In the first workshop, we focused on the relationship between agriculture and climate change. In the second workshop, we explored the impact of genetically modified food on the environment and our health. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Save Our Country Park Forum | | There are mounting concerns over the integrity of Hong Kong country parks as a result of pressing housing development needs. “Save Our Country Park Forum” was organised by FoE (HK) and other green groups on 25 March 2018.
