COP21 - FoE(HK) x RTHK
|
|
From 30 November to 11 December, world leaders
convened in Paris to reach a climate agreement to limit the average
global surface temperature increase of 2°C over the
pre-industrial average. In collaboration with RTHK channel “精靈1點”, FoE(HK) has launched a radio series on COP21 (氣候警報21). For two weeks from Monday to Friday, we bring
the audience up to speed on what climate change is, why it is
necessary for us to take action, what governments aim to do, and
how COP21 is important.

|
Regarding The 21st session of the Conference of the
Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate
Change (COP21), 350.org organized the “Global Climate March” on November 29
to raise public awareness on climate change. 350HK also organized
the “Hong Kong Global Climate March” on the same day, with the
theme “Turn Off (fossil fuels) and Turn On (renewable and safe, clean
energy)”. A total of 500 participants walked along the route from
Central pier to Golden Bauhinia Square, Wanchai. As a supporter
of the Climate March, FoE(HK) sent representatives to participate
in the event actively.
